The Green Pea Company is a co-operative formed in 2006 from the merger of five smaller pea growing groups covering a wide geographic area in East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire and currently growing nearly 10,000 hectares (25,000 acres) of vining peas.
The business produces all the peas for Birds Eye’s dedicated freezing operation at Hull which represents the large majority of their UK production.
The scale of the operation is vast, being the largest pea cooperative in the world, producing around 45,000 tonnes of high quality peas for Birds Eye’s market-leading premium brand.
