Sustainability

We are committed to ‘believing in more’ for our environment and our stakeholders. As a business, we are continually focused on our sustainable ‘vision’ to drive down our carbon footprint each year.

Environment

We maintain our low emissions by continuing to focus on environmental and sustainable initiatives in every aspect of our business. Our environmental plan improves our operating environment for the benefit of our customers, staff, communities and suppliers.

Local Communities

Creed actively supports local charities to all three depots as well as supporting apprenticeship and training associations. We provide support to our chosen charities with food donations, fundraising, charitable campaigns and events.

Packaging & Waste

We do all we can to ensure that as much as possible of our waste stream is recycled or reused in the most environmentally way. Creed has ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’ status for all sites. Each depot has a local recycle centre that collects our on-site bailed waste cardboard and paper. Plastic recycling bins are installed over all sites and we have reduced the plastic packaging being used.

Inspiring & Educating

We offer employees the opportunity to take part in training and educational sessions such as management courses, profile development and cross-departmental training. We also host an annual employee recognition programme, which formally recognises people in all departments across the company.

Energy Reduction

Year on year we continually reduce emissions on utilities and company cars. Our sites in Ashville, Ilkeston and High Wycombe are fitted with a power optimiser that reduces the amount of ‘extra power’ coming into a site to a level where there is enough power for a plant to run smoothly.

Nutritional Values

We offer our customers Saffron Nutritional Software. An online cookbook that allows customers to create, copy and share nutritionally analysed recipes. It helps food businesses plan their menus according to nutrient content and fulfil menu-labelling requirements whilst also assisting in nutritionally analysing menus.

Animal Welfare

We hold high accreditations for our food safety and product certifications. Our Creed Family Butchers offers the very best selection of quality fresh meat. Provenance, quality and consistency are key in all that we provide. Our meat is supported by a range of accreditations, including Red Tractor, RSPCA Assured and AHDB Beef and Lamb Quality Standards Mark Scheme.
