Sustainability

We only use hops from the local area, within about 10 miles of the brewery. All of the breweries waste grain, hops and yeast are fed to outdoor reared pigs at Grove Court Farm less than 1 mile from the brewery.

Environment

We have systems in place to minimise waste waster such as the capture and re-use of rinse water in the cask washing and cooling processes. We have minimised the use of chemicals by using an environmentally friendly enzyme cleaner to clean the brew house.

Local Communities

We employ local people and support other local businesses by providing them with the opportunity to set up pop up food stalls free of charge on Friday evenings at our tap room.

Packaging & Waste

We are gradually changing as much of our packaging as possible to reduce the amount of single use plastic we consume. For example, cardboard beer bottle carriers rather than plastic bags and biodegradable wrapping for our pump clips.

Inspiring & Educating

We offer work experience placements for students from local schools and training centres and for individuals who are considering working in the industry. We take part in Open Farm Sunday

Energy Reduction

We have arranged operations in the brewery to minimised energy consumption, for example brewing on consecutive days to reduce the amount of electricity used to heat water for brewing.

Nutritional Values

Our bottled beer is all vegan friendly but does contain Gluten.
