Bare Bones Pizza

Bare Bones Pizza is a family run company based in Birmingham who produce Neapolitan style wood fired pizzas from two modern vans, converted into kitchens. Mike and Daryl Evans, along with their youngest son Tim, started the business in 2013 with eldest brother James joining the business full time in 2018. Mike has worked in catering and hospitality for most of his life. After working as an operations director for a national fast food chain, he decided it was finally time to build something for himself. He knew he had the knowledge and experience to build something special. Tim was on board straight away and with that the six-month process of developing our product (with a ‘research’ trip to Naples) and designing our brand began! Fast forward six months and we started trading from our first van; a Citroen Relay van with a Bushman’s Wood Fired Oven, with our first employee; Tom. We hit the ground running, built up a great network of events and sold a shed loads of delicious pizzas including our own home cured meat pizza and T bone steak pizza. A year on we bought our second van, this time a much bigger Vauxhall Movono with a Dragon oven one side and an Cuppone double deck electric oven the other. This means that van number two can trade indoors. We regularly trade at the NEC for events like Comic Con, Crufts and EGX Games Expo.
